Network Equipment Planning includes determining the type of Ethernet cabling best fit for the client's location in addition to the best location to mount the network enclosure and install the data | phone jacks. We will be considering several options when installing cablings such as length, speed, and cost. The most common types of Ethernet cabling SPRONET considers are 10BASE-T, 100Base-TX, and 1000Base-T, but due to the high quality and demand, we solely focus on working with 100Base-Tx (CAT5 cabling) and 1000Base-T (CAT5e or CAT6 Cabling). We also plan for Ethernet Standards such as 1000Base-SX and 1000Base-LX which are fiber optics installations.
Network Equipment Installation and Mounting include installing the data jacks and Ethernet cables to the patch panel. Then testing the cables from the data jacks to the patch patches to ensure that we are receiving and transmitting the full-duplex signal. Installing the network enclosure which is the centralized location for devices such as your switch and patch panel. Installing the patch panel and network management; organizing, and tightening down the cables with zip ties or velcro. Installing the network switch, router, firewall, power management (PDUs), and fiber panels (if nessacary). Last, installing computers and printers and Internet/Data Circuits.
Network Equipment Documentation and Design include creating documents for the entire network infrastructure. Documentation is a very important aspect of maintaining a network; keeping it organized. We draw out the physical and logical connections of the network, giving a visual understanding of what and where everything is connected. We like to use a software tool called Microsoft Visio. We here at SPRONET believe that visualizing an image makes learning and troubleshooting the network infrastructure much easier and clearer. That is why this phase is so important because without documentation and design we have no way to identify solutions in an effective or efficient way.
Network Configuration and Troubleshooting include Computers, Switching, Firewalls, and Routing; TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, HTTPS, VLANs, Data Circuits (DS0, DS3), etc. Our consultants have the expertise to troubleshooting incidents or problems with TCP/IP networks. From an broken Ethernet cable causing slowness on an endpoint to slowness on a data circuit cause performance issues. We will find the solution to your problem because No Task is 2 big or 2 Small here at SPRONET.
Network Internet and Connectivity includes working with vendors such as AT&T, Verizon, and CenturyLink; installing the data connectivity (56k, DS0, DS3) within the client's location. We will be helping our clients decide on the best package for their Internet (Wired or Wireless) considering how many users, how much bandwidth, and how much cost ?
